Kristen Odenwald from Jour Parfait originally contacted me regarding Kristine and Simon’s wedding. They unfortunately had family that was unable to attend and wanted to stream the ceremony live. This is a service we’ve offered for a while now and we were happy to help! But, as often happens in life, another obstacle presented itself. With only days until the wedding, Simon discovered that the venue would not have WIFI available for the streaming of the ceremony. Bummer. Not being one to accept defeat, we arranged a same-day edit of the highlights of their day. I was able to post this clip the night of the ceremony so Kristine and Simon’s friends and family could share in every special moment. In fact, having many of Simon’s family members in England worked to our benefit. As I was posting the footage at around one o’clock in the morning, people were just getting started with their day in Old Blighty!
I’ve lived on the Central Coast for nearly 15 years and had never heard of Chateau Felipe until this wedding. From breathtaking panoramic views on mountaintops to the gentle rush of a rocky creek that fed a secluded lake, this place had it all. And with all the shade provided by the gorgeous moss-covered trees, the 105-degree day didn’t feel nearly that hot. Simon and Kristine picked an indescribably beautiful location. Add to that the floral arrangements from Panacea, a phenomenal dinner from Catering Unlimited and the ever so talented Paul Thompson from Escape Entertainment and the result was truly an amazing day! I hope you enjoy getting to share in Kristine and Simon’s incredibly beautiful wedding!
Mike Larson is an amazing photographer and did a wonderful job of capturing Kristine and Simon’s special day. This is actually the first time I’d had the pleasure of working with Mike, and I gotta say, his attention to detail is amazing. In fact, he was there the day before touching up the photo booth with a can of paint! This guy gives it 100% and it shows. Below are some of my favorites from the day.

The couple said, “I do” under majestic trees and blue skies. Crazy-awesome.

Before the ceremony, Mike was able to take them out for a quick photo session in the vineyards of Zenaida. Wish I could have been there!

I LOVE this picture. Nice work, Mike!

After the ceremony, Kristin drove us up a sketchy dirt road to the top of a hill. The views from here were out of control! In fact, we were so high, that Simon and Kristine were able to get cell service and give Simon’s mom a call. How cool!

Honestly, after shooting up on the hill, I didn’t want to come back down. I was glad we did, though, as Kristine and Simon danced into the sunset. We landed some ridiculously awesome footage!

Congratulations, Kristine and Simon! Thank you for letting us share in your day and introducing us to such a gorgeous venue! Best wishes!!!
