Summer first contacted me in September 2008. We exchanged a few emails but couldn’t meet up until October because she was living in Orange County at the time. Summer and her fiancé, Chris, managed to make their way up for the Fall Bridal Faire put on by Central Coast Bride at the Madonna Expo Center, and it was there when we were finally able to iron out some of the details of the day. It’s a good thing we did, too. As it turned out, September 19, 2009 was a very popular day for getting married. We had to refer four other brides to other videographers!
I had already suspected that these two were ambitious, but I had no idea how much of an understatement “ambitious” would be. Get this. From there, they took off to the Dominican Republic to build a night club called Webster Hall. Apparently there’s been one in New York for over 100 years, so this was a pretty huge step in Chris’ career! They spent a couple months down there and returned, ready to continue on in wedding preparations.
Whether they were aware of it at the time or not, Summer and Chris assembled an amazingly talented group of professionals. Jen Hocker from Allure arranged the flowers and kept things rolling smoothly all day, while Melissa from Kramer Entertainment kept the music hot and people moving on the dance floor.
Villa de Buena Vista is a jaw-dropping venue located in the wine country of Paso Robles, CA and where Summer and Chris decided to say, “I do.” It’s impossible to describe this place adequately, but picture blue skies, fluorescent green grass and acres of vineyards drenched in the summer sun and you’re just getting started.
When I showed up on the day of the wedding, I had no idea how mind-blowing the day was going to be. Summer, Chris and their friends and family were awesome!!! From the wicked-sick footage we landed in the convertible to Chris’ reaction after seeing Summer for the first time as she walked down the aisle, the day freakin’ rocked. The only problem I had was figuring out how to get so much good stuff into a single trailer. One way or another I managed and this was the end result. Enjoy!
Summer and Chris brought Camille Rich up from SoCal to take their pictures for the day. She did a wonderful job and was a total blast to work with. Below are some of my favorites.

The infinity pools at Villa de Buena Vista are pretty amazing by themselves, but when Summer and Chris stepped into frame, they took a distant back seat.
